Toyota Relocates their U.S. Office from Los Angeles to Dallas, Texas. They made this official yesterday, after they announced the move. This is a big deal because the company has had their offices headquartered in LA for almost 60 years.

The company said the move will span the course of three years, and around 4,000 employees will be affected by the move. These employees are mainly assigned to the management, communications and marketing departments. Numerous of employees across the country will be relocated to the new Texas office, which will be in Plano. Plano is located just outside of Dallas, and the construction of the new facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2016 or early 2017.

Toyota's N.A.'s Chief Executive, Jim Lentz, said that for the first time they will be better equipped to make faster decisions, as well as share the best practices and they will be able to share their employees' strengths because the company's major North American affiliates and leaders will be brought under one roof. which is a first for the company.

Lentz went on to say that the company will go on to become a more successful organization in North America. He said that this is the biggest change that the company has made to the way they operate in North America, and they cannot wait to see what the future holds. The company will probably end up saving some money by moving their operations to Texas, and company's executives will be closer together and closer to manufacturing buildings.

Even though thousands of employees will be affected by the move, the company's other arms will not be affected. These arms includes the company's Racing Development, AirFlite Inc., as well as the Info Technology Center and their Calty Design Research facilities, which are located over in Southern California, as well as Ann Arbor, Michigan.
