NASDAQ and Russell 2000 on Hold

The NASDAQ Composite and the Russell 2000 have signaled a hold mid-week with the Dow Jones Industrials and the S&P 500 still long. This was anticipated on August 21st as the indexes where not climbing but trading in a range and the news around the market was not bullish.

The continued decline in oil should be pushing the averages higher but it is not. The financials continue to weight on the market over a year after the initial credit crunch began. Continue to monitor the indexes and base your overall portfolio upon the trend in the main four.

Re: NASDAQ and Russell 2000 on Hold

One bad day and the sell signals have now hit three of the major four. The Nasdaq, Dow, and S&P now have signaled sell. Only the Russell 2000 has remained with a hold signal.
