In addition to great stock performance and solid earnings and revenue improvements, SanDisk (SNDK) today announced new improvements in flash memory devices while Gartner predicted rising chip sales. The flash devices of SanDisk are now moving into PC applications as replacements for hard drives and allowing netbook makers to design even smaller portable devices. The performance of the new memory products along with reliability and storage capacity make the devices ideal for many application according to reports.

The markets began correcting at the end of April with three out of four of the market stock indexes now giving a sell signal. Taking a look at the ClearStation.com index charts present on their home page, you can clearly see the top formations and the hold signals at the end of April this year. The sell signals all came yesterday on the major downturn for the markets with the Nasdaq Composite, the Down Jones Industrials, and the Standard & Poors 500 all in the red today.

Stocks Collapse Post Inauguration

What started out as a mildly weak day turned very much more negative after the Inauguration completed shortly after lunch. Stocks steadily declined all afternoon finishing sharply lower, 4% for the Dow Jones Industrials, near 6% for the Nasdaq, and 5.25% for the S&P 500. Financial's were the weakest of all the industries with questions about Citigroup and Bank of America still creating weakness across the board.
