Any person that currently owns an iPad should always be on the lookout for mobile applications that would help them to alter the way that they are handling important tasks on a daily basis. Life can be very difficult if you do not have the right tools available to turn to. However, I have been able to use Personal Capital to help me deal with many issues related to my finances. One of the reasons why I decided to purchase an iPad would be the fact that I am always on the road. I needed a device that would be easy to pick up while also providing all of the functions I already enjoyed on my iPhone.

Putting A Value On Yahoo!

The introduction of a new leader, Marissa Mayer, in July 2012 at the helm of Yahoo!, along with the disposal of almost 50 percent of its stake in Alibaba has allowed Yahoo! to re-focus on its main business. In addition, both these moves have contributed to a 30 percent increase in the company's stock price in the two months after the 3rd quarter earnings were released. Many analysts predict that the company's stock price will increase by around 35 percent in the next year, for several reasons:

Trading the Fiscal Cliff

Depending on which newspaper or alternate source of news one pursues they can and will find reports that negotiations regarding the fiscal cliff are going well and almost finalized or that they are a disaster and nothing positive is happening.

One of the consequences of these positive and negative reports is that the financial markets reflect the confusion and react in different ways that no person can accurately predict. This leaves millions of investors totally confused and deeply concerned of their investments and their futures. Trading the volatility index (VXX) is probably your best bet since all the uncertainty will cause it to rise. Just be careful for a deal to get done which will make the Index reverse course quickly.

How to Track Down Debtors Around the World

It is becoming less and less common for businesses to know their customers personally, especially if those customers live on a different continent. There was a time when companies only did business with their neighbors, people with whom their kids went to school. The internet has made it possible now to have customers who do not even speak the same language you do, much less have the same laws. While such a global economy has proved beneficial for many, it is not without its challenges. When laws vary by country, how will your company enforce contracts when payments are past due?

Tax Avoidance By Google

In 2011, Google Inc. avoided some $2 billion of income tax payments by moving its revenues to a shell company in Bermuda. Google actually shifted almost $10 billion in profits from its overseas subsidiaries to Bermuda. Since Bermuda does not have corporate income taxes, Google benefited by cutting its tax rate by half.

However, this tax avoidance has not gone over well with Governments in both the United States and Europe, which are both struggling with huge deficits. Just recently, the governing body of the European Union requested its members to adopt rules for anti-abuse and to list tax havens for blacklisting.

The Fiscal Cliff Saga And Its Possible Effects On 2013 Earnings

There is heavy debate about the fiscal cliff and how it will affect the nation's long term debt; and how fiscal policy will effect growth over the next months and years. The outcome of the fiscal cliff negotiations are directly related to the functionality of the current political leadership and the status of the economy in 2012. These two areas are very much connected since the fiscal policy in both the US and Europe has already caused a drag on economic growth. The slowdown is expected to be ongoing as policymakers work on addressing the long term debt burdens.
